This 400 year old space has gone through the most amazing transformation.
The kitchen which once upon a time was the old wash house, is amazingly rustic with beautiful beams, flag floor and stone walls.
By redesigning the layout, utilising the limited space and creating an easier kitchen for the owners, this now feels so fitting to the rest of the cottage.
Preserving and highlighting character and authentic details was absolutely key to this space, combing these with a tonal quartz worktop, modern appliances and Belfast sink we have created a functional, fresh and timeless kitchen.
This was project managed by Feather and Paint and turned around in 5 weeks. Enlisting tradesmen who are passionate about spaces with history and traditional methods of working allowed this project to run smoothly (even with a good dose of play it by ear due to the nature of the space!). It's so wonderful and the best part of my job when you see a space entering the next phase of it's life and with this kitchen, I feel we have done it justice.
